Tiger Rain is a family owned and operated business. 
We started in 2006 when we realized that there is need to transfer decaying and fading VHS and 8mm movies.

Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.

What we do...

Remember the holidays from three…five…ten years ago? Birthdays? Family outings? The great times you had with your parents, grandparents or great grandparents? Aren’t you glad you captured all of those special, precious moments on videotape? You’ve got dozens of taped memories stacked in a cabinet or tucked away on a shelf in closet.

Disappearing Past - Videos

The problem is VHS tape is not the best format to use for long-term storage. Every time you play one of the tapes you wear away part of the image, you scratch the video, and you destroy small portions of the memories.

If you haven’t played the tapes for years you may be in for a rude awakening. The magnetic film may have aged, turned black and the images disappeared. The coating may mysteriously peel away or flake off when the tape is played.
The special moments, the memories are suddenly…simply memories. Signs of video quality degradation can become apparent after five years or sooner if the tapes aren’t stored properly.
Before those precious videotaped moments disappear, transfer them to DVD.

Sharing - Photographs

The same is true for photographs as well.  They fade over time and can be difficult to share.  Who gets which photo memory can be tough to decide.  We can scan, balance the color and brightness/contrast and then add them to a professional slideshow movie.  That way everyone can have a copy!

Damage and repair

Another thing is even with the best care some photographs can get damaged, many of these are one of a kind and hold a memory that cannot be reproduced or replaced.

We can take these images and scan them with the only professional six-color scanner available today.  We then painstakingly restore them to a high quality image that you can enjoy all over again. Plus make copies for others and we can do it in different sizes as well!

Take a memory to a whole new level – Oil painted portraits

We are very fortunate to be able to partner with a well know artist that is renowned for his stunning works.  He can take over 30 years of experience and transfer that special wedding, birthday or family photo into an original oil painting.  These are truly unique, hand painted on canvas. They can be ordered framed or unframed, charges apply.  Please plan ahead if these are for a gift since there are lead times to be considered.
